Video Content Upload

How to prepare, upload, and monetize your films, series, and documentaries on Vwaza TV.

Coming Soon

Vwaza TV is currently in development. This initial guide outlines the planned upload pipeline for filmmakers and video creators.

Preparing Your Video

To ensure high-quality streaming across all devices, Vwaza Studio recommends specific formats and resolutions. When you upload your master file, our servers will automatically encode it into multiple formats (Adaptive HLS) for seamless streaming.

Video Requirements

  • Format: MP4, MOV, or MKV
  • Resolution: 1080p (1920x1080) minimum, up to 4K (3840x2160)
  • Codec: H.264 or H.265 (HEVC)
  • Audio: Stereo or 5.1 surround sound
  • Max file size: 50GB per upload

Metadata & Subtitles

Like music, proper metadata ensures viewers can find and enjoy your film.

1

Core Metadata

Title, synopsis, genre, release year, cast & crew, and director information.

2

Age Rating

You must supply an accurate age rating (e.g., G, PG, 13+, 18+) so that content restrictions function properly.

3

Artwork

Upload high-resolution poster art (vertical aspect ratio) and a landscape banner for Vwaza TV's featured sections.

4

Subtitles (Closed Captions)

Upload .SRT or .VTT files for multiple languages to make your content accessible to a broader audience.

Trailers & Previews

A compelling trailer is vital for converting browsers into buyers. Vwaza Studio allows you to upload a separate short trailer file to promote your content.

Trailer Specs

  • Maximum duration: 3 minutes
  • Shown for free to all users
  • Can be shared across social platforms to link directly to your purchase page

Pricing & Rentals

Unlike music, which relies heavily on a standard single/album purchasing structure, video content offers flexible access options. Just like music, you will set the Base Price for these access types in USD.

Purchases (Lifetime)

The fan pays a one-time fee to unlock unlimited permanent streaming access to your film or season.

Rentals (Coming Soon)

The fan pays a lower fee to unlock the content for a limited window (e.g., 48 hours from the first play).
