African work shouldn’t have to leave home to be heard.

Vwaza started from one belief: African creators should not have to leave the continent, or their currency, to reach an audience.

Too often, reaching people has meant handing the work to a foreign label or a middleman, and with it the audience, the rights and the say. We are building the alternative here: one place to release, one place to be found, and a direct line between the people who make the work and the people who love it.
