Content Pricing
How content pricing is set by creators and presented to fans in their local currencies.
How Pricing Works
Vwaza simplifies global distribution and monetization by bridging global base prices with tailored local experiences for fans across the world.
Base Pricing for Creators
When creators upload their music (albums, singles, EPs, or videos), they specify the base price for their content in USD (United States Dollars).
Why USD?
- Maintains consistent revenue targets for artists worldwide.
- Simplifies royalty calculations and payouts.
- Serves as the foundation for automated, real-time currency conversions.
Localized Pricing for Fans
To provide the best checkout experience, fans are able to purchase content using their local currencies.
Currency Selection
During the onboarding process, fans are required to choose their preferred currency for their accounts.
Dynamic Conversion
Vwaza uses live exchange rates to automatically convert the creator's USD price into the fan's preferred currency.
Localized Display
Throughout the platform, users will only see prices shown in the local currency they've selected. For instance, if a user selects NGN as their preferred currency, all content prices displayed on the platform will be in NGN.

Price Limits
To keep music affordable and consistent for fans across the web, Android, and Apple devices, Vwaza sets a maximum price for individual songs and albums.
Maximum prices
- Single tracks: up to $1.50 USD.
- Albums: up to $3.50 USD.
- These maximums map directly to fixed in-app purchase tiers on Apple devices, so the price a fan sees on iOS stays aligned with the web price.
Existing content
Any songs or albums previously priced above these limits have been adjusted down to the new maximum. Your earnings share per sale is unchanged.
